«Always being strong and accepting criticism but not taking it too personally»

Kate was born and raised in Czech Republic. After graduating from high school she got signed up with the biggest agency in Czech Republic Czechoslovak models and started to travel as a model around the world. Milan, Paris, London, Germany, Asia, South Africa… till she find her home in New York. This allowed her to work for brands like Dior, Gucci, Versace, Channel, Oscar della Renta, Roberto Cavalli and many haute couture brands.

She shoots for the most famous international fashion magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Numero Russia, L’Officiel, Esquire, Grazia, Glamour or even Playboy.

Besides modeling she was studying Politics and European science and later added an another degree in Integrative nutrition and holistic health in New York and continued with another New Age science as Kundalini Yoga, Vinyasa & Hatha yoga, Psychotherapy and metaphysical concepts.

Her hobby is traveling around the world (“I have Universe citizenship” she often answers when asked where she does come from) and exploring new places, cultures and minds (mind, body, soul concept). She has been inspired by work of Eckhart Tolle, Sadhguru, Wayne Dyer, Donald Walsch, Joe Dispenza, Teal Swan and books as The Course in miracles or The Law of attraction the best known as The Secret.

As advice to the beginning models Kate recommend to believe in yourself and the power of your dreams no matter what the world has been telling you it was possible or not. Just because someone has a different experience, didn’t work out for him or opposite — worked out this and that way — doesn’t mean it’s gonna be your path as well.

The things go very different for everyone and what’s the best advice for one, can be the worst one for other one. (And there’s no disappointment bigger then when you have certain expectations about how you think the things shall go/be and then being upset that they were not or they were wrong when in reality — looking at them from the different perspective they might were much greater that you could even imagined).

But the main advice from professional model is: «Always being strong and accepting criticism but not taking it too personally. As a model you have to get used to it that sometimes you are not the type the clients are looking for, but it’s not because something is wrong with you.

For some clients you are too skinny, for others too big, for some too short, for others too tall, for some too feminine for others not edgy enough… the list is endless. But then there are the jobs that are made for you, where they adore your look and everything about you is just perfect. I think it’s a tough business and you need to have a strong personality, otherwise it can also destroy you».

And last but not least, take the best possible care about your mind and the body. This comes in forms of eating healthily but indulging on occasions, daily meditating and moving your body regularly. “Your body is your temple and the only place your soul lives in.

For more inspiration about healthy living see her blog: where she shows how to make your favorite dishes the most healthy sexy way.

Her life motto is: “Be the change you want to see in the world” ~ Dalai Lama and “Don’t worry, be happy!” I’m a very positive minded person, because I believe that everything happens for a «good» reason. Even if you find yourself in a «bad» situation or things didn’t work out the way you once wanted them to, be patient and accept the changes in your life.

You may not see it today or tomorrow, but there will be a time where you will look back and be thankful that certain people, opportunities and things were removed from your life because you would have never found yourself had you not lost them. Be thankful for closed doors, detours and roadblocks because they protect you from paths and places not meant for you. You will be perplexed and awed by how every little thing added up and brought somewhere wonderful or were you always wanted to be.
