Sylvie Pilipová is the most recent addition to the Czech modeling scene. She is a fastmoving young artist interested not only in modeling but also in acting and film production. In only half a year, Sylvie has had fashion shoots with renowned Czech and International artists, photographers, and stylists, and she has appeared in prominent fashion magazines.

The photoshoot for InStyle Moldova took place in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles. How was that experience?

I enjoyed the photoshoot very much. InStyle had decided to shoot a street style fashion story in Beverly Hills – in the Beverly Wilshire hotel and Rodeo Drive – the most famous shopping street in Los Angeles, which was a unique location. The photographer, Jonathan Zaoui, and the whole team were talented, passionate young artists, and I was lucky to have the opportunity to work with them.

Was it your first time in Los Angeles?

No, I lived in Los Angeles for almost a year, and I had to move out due to the pandemic in early 2020. So the photoshoot was a great opportunity for me to return back to my second home. I also met with my manager, who runs my international modeling bookings from Los Angeles. She is known for discovering and starting the career of Melania Trump – being from the same country as her, Slovenia. We were talking about future plans, and I can say that I am very excited.

So what are your plans for the future?

I will continue extending my portfolio in my hometown, Prague, and I plan to go to Milan, Italy – since the city is opening up after COVID closure. I also just got signed up by a modeling agency in Panama City, where I partially live with my family, so I am looking forward to working with them.

So do you speak Spanish? Or perhaps another language?

Yes, I speak Spanish, but there is still a lot to learn! When it comes to other languages, I speak fluently French and English, as I have been in American and French schools since I was small.

What are your other interests apart from modeling?

I am interested in various fields, such as in management and marketing, which I am currently studying. I also like acting and film in general. Since I was small, I have been acting in several drama clubs, and I have performed in various plays and TV series, and I have always enjoyed being on set. One day I’d love to focus mainly on acting and film.

Sneakers or heels?

That’s a hard one. But sneakers – I feel more comfortable in them.

Favorite hair product?

I am trying to grow my hair, so I am using products without sulfates and silicones – my favorite brand is Herbal Essences.

Your biggest fashion faux-pas?

I don’t know if that counts, but when I was thirteen, I dyed my hair blond to look like Christina Aguilera, but… Well, let’s just say I didn’t!

Favorite romantic movie?

“Call me by your name”
